The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) was founded in 1960. AFP represents over 30,000 members in more than 240 chapters throughout the world, working to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education and certification programs across the world.

The association fosters development and growth of fundraising professionals and promotes high ethical standards in the fundraising profession.

The AFP Canada South Chapter was incorporated in 2001. The Chapter is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors that offers education sessions on a monthly basis, networking opportunities and organizes the National Philanthropy Day Awards Celebration.

2026 President’s Message

Dear Members,

A sincere thank you to all of our incredible AFP Canada South members who joined us for our Annual General Meeting in March. We were thrilled to see record attendance, with so many familiar and new faces helping us kick off another exciting year for our chapter. We also extend our gratitude to our friends at CAGP for inviting us to participate in their Planned Giving event in April.

As we look ahead, our board is committed to strong communication with members and continuing to demonstrate the value of AFP in your day-to-day work as fundraising professionals. We are also pleased to welcome our newest board member, Seita from WEST Inc. Finally, we are always looking for members interested in getting involved through one of our committees, including the National Philanthropy Day Planning Committee.
